Rob is a trained journalist with a background working for various titles before he moved into policy and political roles, first as the Digital Democracy lead for a thinktank, the LGIU, and later as a parliamentary researcher, running the office of a Shadow Minister. Rob is the author of ‘How to be a Parliamentary Researcher’, part of the Biteback ‘How to’ series of books that are required reading for anyone interested in how the UK political system works. In 2015 Rob joined Connect to offer his experience of parliament, media and public affairs to a wide range of clients. Rob has assisted clients such as Resolution, the trade association for family lawyers, to raise their profile in the national media and with political audiences, and established new coalitions, such as his work with a range of private nursery providers. Rob’s track record of delivering results for clients led to his promotion to Account Director in autumn 2017.
