Associate Director and Head of Hydrogen Future
Rob is an Associate Director at Connect and is Head of Hydrogen Future. Rob is a trained journalist with a background working for various titles before he moved into policy and political roles, including time working in Parliament running the office of a Shadow Minister. In 2015 Rob joined Connect to offer his experience of parliament, media and public affairs to a wide range of clients. Rob has assisted clients such as Resolution, the trade association for family lawyers, to raise their profile in the national media and with political audiences, and established new coalitions, such as his work with a range of private nursery providers. Rob has developed a strong sports practice at Connect and in 2019 he became Head of Hydrogen Future, the world’s first specialist communications unit dedicated to hydrogen, to support a shift to hydrogen to meet Net Zero targets. Rob is the author of ‘How to be a Parliamentary Researcher’, part of the Biteback ‘How to’ series of books that are required reading for anyone interested in how the UK political system works. Rob is a keen cyclist and marathon runner.
