Charlie is an Associate Director at Connect, playing a leading role in supporting clients with their public affairs and wider communications. Charlie currently advises Toyota, UNISON, the Association of Educational Psychologists, Cambridge Weight Plan and the University of the Arts London. One of Charlie’s most significant achievements at Connect is her pioneering work with the All Party Parliamentary Group on Women and Work. Charlie led a project that resulted in the Prime Minister and Chancellor announcing major public funding for ‘women returnships’, to support women returning to work after a career break, often for family reasons.
Prior to joining Connect, Charlie worked with Reform Scotland, a leading thinktank, where she worked on a number of reports and research papers. Charlie has experience of working in the offices of MEPs, MSPs and MPs in Brussels, Holyrood and Westminster. Charlie studied International Relations and French at St Andrews, before completing a Masters degree in International Law at the University of Edinburgh.
