Later Life Ambitions comments on the Government’s Industrial Strategy

Amongst some of the measures announced, the Industrial Strategy will:

  • Support new products and services for the growing global population of older people
  • Support sectors to adapt to a changing and ageing workforce
  • Support care providers to adapt business models to changing demands and encourage new models of care to develop

The LLA founding organisations – the National Association of Retired Police Officers, the National Federation of Occupational Pensioners and the Civil Service Pensioners Alliance – said:

“We welcome the Government’s recognition of the challenges and opportunities presented by our ageing society. Too often, the contribution that older people make to the economy is overlooked. We are pleased that the Government is beginning to address this by unveiling a package of measures, which will support older people and enable the economy to adapt to their needs. We look forward to working with the relevant Government Departments and Agencies in the detailed development and implementation of the plans in the Industrial Strategy.”
