Past event: This event has already taken place.
Join the Transport Knowledge Hub national forum in Glasgow on housing and local transport in Scotland. The session, which is part of a series of events, will consider the findings of new research undertaken by KPMG on sustainable transport and housing.
This high-level event will bring together local authorities, housing experts and other local decision-makers to discuss the importance of transport and wider connectivity in helping to address the housing crisis, increasing the accessibility of sites for redevelopment and attracting inward investment. Sustainable transport is vital to the viability of housing schemes, especially for young people, job seekers, those on low incomes and increasingly for older people, all of whom are more likely to rely on public transport to travel to and from home.
The events will provide an opportunity to discuss how we can find timely and cost-effective solutions to the challenges faced with achieving sustainable and inclusive growth, creating jobs and improving productivity through better connectivity.
