Join LowCVP in the House of Commons for a reception to launch an important new report by Cambridge Econometrics: Fuelling Britain’s Future – The Economic Impact of Low Carbon Vehicles in the UK which has been commissioned by the European Climate Foundation. This forward-looking report will highlight the benefits that electric vehicles can deliver to Britain in terms of economic resilience, employment, energy security, air quality, CO2 mitigation and synergies with renewable electricity.
The event will provide an opportunity to network with a select group of MPs, public policy makers, leading road transport industry figures and stakeholders and will feature an exhibition of dynamic UK companies that are leading the way in low carbon road transport innovation, helping to deliver environmental benefits as well as generating growth and jobs.
Confirmed speakers include Richard Burden MP, Shadow Minister for Transport, Jerry Hardcastle OBE, Global Chief Marketability Engineer at Nissan and Chairman of the Automotive Council Technology Group and Andy Eastlake, Managing Director of LowCVP. Rt Hon Danny Alexander MP, Chief Secretary to the Treasury, has also been invited to contribute.
The reception will be preceded by a seminar from 2.15pm also in the House of Commons for those who would like the opportunity to learn about the Cambridge Econometrics study in more detail. Please tick the ‘seminar’ box when you book your place if you want to attend the seminar as well.
