Connect launches series of 5 regional events for Transport Knowledge Hub

Connect is delivering five regional policy events for the Transport Knowledge Hub – a new tool for local authorities, LEPs and transport decision-makers considering making investments in transport projects.

Each of the five regional events will bring together communities of local decision-makers to discuss and share how we can find timely and cost-effective solutions to the challenges faced with achieving sustainable and inclusive growth.

Each event will feature inspiring speakers from lead transport operators, key regional players and representatives from Highways England and Network Rail. The events will provide attendees with an opportunity to participate in high-level discussions and excellent networking opportunities.

Each event has a strong regional focus to enable meaningful discussion about local transport priorities. A central theme to all the events will be the pace of technological change and how technology influences how people move around. The events will all highlight how the Transport Knowledge Hub can help LEPs and local authorities make transformational local transport plans that are fit for the future and that make a different cheaply and quickly.

The events are being held in the Midlands on 7 March, the North on 15 March, Scotland on 19 March, the South East on 26 March and the South West on 27 March.
