Connect Campaign Award: shortlist announced
Connect Communications announced the four shortlisted candidates for the inaugural Connect Campaign Award – a new competition to find a pro-bono client for Connect. The four finalists are Honeypot, LawWorks, Migrant Voice and Women’s Aid.
Proud of its award winning history and tradition in supporting charities and not-for-profit organisations, Connect will provide one year’s public affairs support to a worthy winner. The shortlisted entries will be considered by a Judging Panel comprising Miles Celic (Prudential), Gazala Haq (Hewlett Packard) and Simon Redfern (Starbucks).
Speaking today Connect’s Executive Chairman Gill Morris said:
I am delighted at the enthusiasm that has been shown for the Connect Campaign Award in its first year. We had a high volume of very strong applications and all of those who applied deserve to be congratulated for their applications. I was impressed to see applications from good causes working globally and here in the UK, with the most vulnerable in our society and on campaigns of international and national importance.
It is now for our independent judging panel to decide which campaign will be the ultimate winner. We are going to put our heart and soul into this – working hard as a team and doing the best for a good cause has always been the Connect way. I’m thrilled that we are now expanding the opportunities for good causes to work with us.
The judging panel has invited the shortlisted candidates to pitch their ideas to them next week. The winning entry will be announced at the Connect Summer Party on on 7 July.
